LOOE Men's A team continued their fine form at the top of Division 3 with a comfortable 8-0 win over Plympton B. After five matches, the half-way point of the season, the team has won 39 sets, conceding only four.

Despite the inclusion of the wily veteran Dave Worrall, the promotion hopes of the Men's B team, in Division 5, suffered a setback with 1-8 reversal at St Mellion.

Division 5 is particularly tight this year and at the half-way stage only four points separates second place from the sixth and bottom position.

The Men's C team put up a strong performance against a formidable Devonshire B team and were just edged out 4-5 with the result going down to the wire.

The Ladies A team recorded a fine result at Hill Lane A, Plymouth, coming away with a 6-2 victory.

Local Spanish teacher Sylvia Racca brought plenty of Latin verve into the team and with partner Gill Bath both their matches resulted in wins for Looe.
