WORSENING conditions couldn't prevent the Cornish All Blacks securing a much needed home win.
Launceston were in the ascendency from the off, playing some determined attacking rugby. Clifton, meanwhile, offered little and didn't really threaten in the opening exchanges. Kyle Speare put the first points on the board for the Cornish All Blacks when dotting down on the left wing for an uncoverted try.
The home side were proving difficult to stop. They maintained plenty of possession in Clifton territory, but the tricky conditions meant some inevitable mistakes were made by both sets of players.
