TWELVE members of Launceston Tennis Club, undeterred by the bad ferry crossing last year, once again ventured across the Channel to challenge their Celtic adversaries recently. After a flat, calm crossing they were welcomed at Carantec Club by chairman Jacques Chanteau and other members, who provided pain au chocolat, croissants and coffee. During the long weekend there were enjoyable encounters at Carantec, Plestien and Trebeurdon on three different surfaces, with most preferring the clay.
