South West Pensinsula Premier

St Blazey 1

THE visitor's had all of the ball in the opening period and created chances aplenty but were unable to make them count with shots firing wide or blocked.

When the Camels did manage to break, the final ball was lacking in quality — an area that St Blazey had no problems with but the post denied them twice before the break as the sides went in all square at 0-0.

The game turned full circle as the teams took to the field for the second half with Camelford sporting a changed formation which seemed to trouble their visitors.

The opener came when Camelford's Patrick Rushton knocked a poor ball out to Kyle Flew who flicked it up over the defender's leg and ran with a low cross for frontman Mark Gusterson to convert.

The Camels continued to create chances and Gusterson was in yet again, this time hitting the woodwork, with the rebound falling kindly for Rushton who fluffed his chance to double the lead.

It was a miss they went on to pay the price for as St Blazey put a long ball through and their striker narrowly avoided the offside trap to level things up and that's how the match finished.
