A CHEQUE was presented to representatives of Cancer Research by members of and workers at Budehaven Community Leisure Centre recently.

Kirsty Beavis holds her popular Zumba classes in the John Ward Hall at Budehaven Community Leisure Centre. Earlier on this year, she decided to organise a charity event for Cancer Research UK.

The response from the local community was fantastic, with over 300 people taking part throughout the evening. Everyone gave generously, and a massive £720 was raised.
