BUDE RATS recently took part in the 'Tavistock town relays' sending four teams down to take part in the event which forms part of Tavistock's Carnival week.

Each one of the four members from the team's competing, have to run a 1.1 mile leg before handing the baton on to the next runner, with the race taking place in and around the town starting and finishing in the picturesque Meadows Park area.

With 80 teams competing, from all over the south west and setting off together, the race takes on a fun and at times manic atmosphere.

All money raised from the race goes towards good causes locally.

Despite the high quality of the teams the Bude club were competing with, all four RATS teams finished strongly with the Veteran men's A squad claiming 3rd place in their Category.
