A TEAM of under 12 girls from Bude Hockey Club have triumphed in the Truro Mini Hockey Tournament.

In their first year of entry they had to compete against six teams from across the county, playing 24 games over four weekends.

The girls showed great determination and the quality of hockey improved over each weekend.

The team went into the last stage of the tournament in the lead, two points ahead of local rivals Launceston.
