IT was a cold, wet afternoon game played against Mannamead II.

After the previous week's disappointing loss, Bude were eager to start the game strongly and pressure was applied to Mannamead instantly. Team morale was high and Bude settled into the game well.

Play was spread across the pitch and simple two touch hockey emerged with the ball pace increasing. Bude had the majority of possession and gained three attacking short corners yet Mannamead's defence remained strong with no goal to be had.

Finally, Bude had a breakthrough and with accurate passing between Shirley Walter and Cassie Walker, Sharon Trewin fished the pass perfectly into the back of the net putting Bude into the lead.
