ANOTHER successful pool season came to an end on Sunday, May 3, with the league's presentation evening being held at the Lucky Kiss Pool club in Bude.

The second division doubles final started the evening with Aaron Nash and Allan Prout in top form and they comfortably beat the pairing of Gordon Wint and Paul Martin with a 4-0 victory.

The first division doubles final was won by Tony Holgate and the young Adam Curtis who beat Dean Troop and Stephen Stahl 4 – 1.

The second division singles final was the match of the evening between Trev Plant and Aaron Nash, producing a tight match all the way through. At 3-3 Nash had a chance to clinch it but rattled the final black, allowing Plant in to finish and take the title.

The first division singles final was won by Tony Holgate who beat Gary Hodgson 4-1. At 1-1, Hodgson rattled a black, allowing Holgate to take the frame. Hodgson made two mistakes in the next two frames which Holgate took advantage of to win the match.

The Down to the House Championship knock out competition, which is just a one frame knock out until the final saw Holgate again win a close final against Aaron Nash 2-1.

The Speed Pool knock out competition finished the pool for the night and produced great fun for both players and spectators and saw the accurate and quick Martin Ratledge beat Gary Hodgson in the final.

The league presentations saw New Inn A storm to the first division title, beating runners up LK Galacticos by a massive 25 points. New Inn also won the Handicap League, plus the Heaverman Cup, again Galacticos being beaten and leaving with the runner up trophies.
