Sunday sees the annual 8.5-mile 5-Tors race across Bodmin Moor starting and finishing at Minions.
The route drops down towards Trewalla before doing a circuit around Tregarrick Tor and then heads towards Goldiggings Quarry. An ascent towards the Cheesewring gets the heart racing before following the track past Warbrook Farm and looping around the back of Kilmar Tor. Then there is the drop and rise up to Berah Tor followed by another drop and rise guaranteed to make most entrants walk up to Sharp Tor. Following a steep descent towards Warbrook Farm entrants then follow the old rail track clockwise around the bottom of Cheesewring Quarry to Minions.
The weather forecast looks favourable but entrants are advised to take a whistle in case of emergencies. Registration is from 8am and the race starts at 10.30am – runners can turn up on the day.
