TRESMEER’S Jason Kestell had an excellent day on the first day of the show.
Entering 11 sheep in the Zwartbles Sheep category, Jason and his partner Caroline Statton picked up a first in the Aged Ram, Aged Ewe, Shearling Ewe and Ewe Lamb categories as well as picking up two seconds and three thirds to go alongside some other creditable finishes.
Jason said he couldn’t quite believe it.
“Never in a million years did we expect to do so well. We were very shocked but very happy at the same time to win the cups we did.”
Meanwhile Mr Arfon Lloyd, competition judge, said: “The sheep had good markings, and good confirmation and style.”
