PLANS are progressing to start a youth council in Camelford.

At the September 6 meeting of the town council, councillors voted in favour of supporting the idea, and agreed which members would take the plans forward.

Cllr Stephen Bond said: “I said when I came onto the council I wanted the young people in this town to have a voice. I feel that the town would benefit from having a youth council.”

Cllr Rob Rotchell said he was in favour of a youth council and said it would require terms of reference.
