A LAUNCESTON girl has made it through to the finals of national competition Miss England. Alexandra Reeve, 18, an equestrian and riding schoolteacher from Polson, will compete against 59 finalists at a bootcamp this weekend, before the final at Torquay next Monday. Alexandra, nicknamed Miss Launceston for the competition, has completed various tasks, including a recycled item — a dress made out of paper roses and a hat to go with it, along with a two-minute talent video. She also organised a fun day at St Leonard's riding school, which raised around £500 for charities — Beauty with a Purpose and CLIC Sargent. Alexandra's final test will be a physical bootcamp at Torquay this weekend, ahead of the Miss England final on Monday. Alexandra's mother, Kathryn Reeve, said her daughter was nervous, but looking forward to the final. To support Alexandra and vote for her in Miss England 2014, text MISS ENGLAND52 to 63333.
