PUPILS from St Stephens Community Academy’s Foundation Stage visited Launceston Fire Station on Thursday, February 8, as they were learning about ‘people who help us’.

The children listened carefully to Andy Sleeman and Mitch Dyer, the firefighters, when they explained what their job involves and how they help people.

Class teacher Kelly Moore said: “The pupils enjoyed looking around the fire engine and learning about the equipment that is carried onboard and why. They loved riding in the fire engine and having the opportunity to use the hose to spray the fire engine.”

St Stephens Community Academy extended its thanks to Launceston Fire Station for allowing the pupils to visit and taking the time to talk to them.
