CERTIFICATES were presented to young readers who completed the summer reading challenge at Holsworthy Library, recently.

Devon County Cabinet member, Cllr Barry Parsons gave out medals and certificates, as well as a goody bag, courtesy of Waitrose. Children were congratulated for completing the challenge, which was to read six books during the school holiday.

A draw was also made for sports vouchers, donated by Torridge District Council. Felicity Owen came first and won a £20 voucher, while Ellie Evans, Alice Banks, Ned Davies, Georgina Williams and Abigail Wellington received free one day passes.
