Pembrokeshire is renowned for the excellence of the musicians produced in the county for many years and the Rotary Club of Tenby has for some years sponsored a competition for Junior School pupils to encourage and assist in the development of the young musicians.
This year, the competition will be held on Tuesday, May 12, at St. Johns Church, Tenby, commencing at 6.30 (doors open at 6.15 pm).
The competitors are Hope Yeates, Lucas Geertman and Matthew Coburn from Tenby Junior School, Charlotte McSweeney, Tom Davies and Alex Collinson from St. Florence School, Imogen Stace-Smith representing Manorbier School and Isabella Ferguson-Ward from St. Teilos Catholic School.
St. Florence School Choir will entertain whilst the adjudicators consider the difficult task of choosing a winner.
There is an open invitation for anyone to attend - entrance is free. Why not come along and hear the emerging talent! The musicians, parents and teachers would very much appreciate your support.
