CAMELFORD Young Farmers Club recently held their annual general meeting at Boscastle Farm Shop, where they awarded cheques to three local charities.

This year the club raised an amazing £6,000 for their three chosen charities — Cystic Fibrosis, The British Heart Foundation and Heartswell — with each receiving £2,000 on the night.

The funds were raised through the annual dung run, wine and wisdom, big breakfast and the annual young farmers disco.

Chairman Abigail Haddy would like to say how successful this year has been for the club and how thankful she is for the ongoing support from the public and the associated club members.

She said: “I have loved being the club chairman for the past year and would encourage anyone to get up and join young farmers. The possibilities and experiences are endless and can make friends for life.”
