FAMILIES from across the community have helped create artwork, which reflects their feelings. Parents and children from Action for Children's Holsworthy Area Children's Centre worked with local artist Angelique Medland to create a space-themed collage, including a clay moon, papier-mâché planets and stars and a ceramic rocket. The collage theme, decided upon by the parents, was to represent how the centre helps them reach their goals and raise their aspirations. The project was part of the charity's Arts Bank initiative, which gives the children, young people and families who use its services the opportunity to express themselves through the medium of art. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
