French Shield / Yeo Cup at Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club: The not too often used Bogey Comp was played with the two division system in operation — (0-13) for the French Shield and (14-28) for the Yeo Cup.

The French Shield for the senior players was won by a very much on form James Urquart. On the June medal, on the day before, James had shot a net 64 to see his handicap drop from 13 to 11 and then in the French Shield he shot an impressive +7 to drop his handicap down to 9.7. Close on his heals was Rob Smeeth with a +3 score followed by single figure man Mark Biggs with +3; +5 Rob Smeeth; +3 Mark Biggs; +3 Ernie Wilton; +2 Graham Barker.

The Yeo Cup was a one horse race with Nicholas Houghton returning an amazing +8 to take the field by four clear shots. Runner up was 'Mr Steady' from Bradworthy Mike Jennings with +4. +8 Nick Houghton; +4 Mike Jennings; +1 Ryan Willshire; 0 Laurence Voysey.
