THE Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice tomorrow (Tuesday), which has covered much of the South West region, including Devon and Cornwall.
The worst of the weather is to hit between 12pm on Tuesday and 11am on Wednesday.
It is expected rain will arrive across Wales, northern and western England, moving eastwards through the afternoon and evening of Tuesday. Rain will turn into snow on the hills, then to low levels in some locations, with icy conditions to follow.
Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services. People should also take care to avoid injury from slips and falls on icy surfaces, and be mindful of ice on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
People can keep up to date with the weather via the Met Office’s website.
