THE perceived destruction of an historic sunken lane due to "ill-conceived" resurfacing and drainage work has been criticised by a naturalist who has urged that a "stop order" be imposed and the project reconsidered.
According to Dr June Chatfield, the work on Worldham BOAT 40 is posing "a threat to the historical, geological and natural history heritage" of this right of way.
