POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision between two motorcycles in which one man died.
Emergency services were called at 11.10pm yesterday, Thursday, April 6, after the collision between the two bikes on the B3362 at Lezant.
One of the riders, a 49-year-old man from Beaworthy, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other motorcyclist, an 18-year-old man from the Tavistock area, was airlifted to Derriford Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police closed the road for seven hours while a specialist forensic examination of the scene was carried out.
Officers from the Plymouth Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses to the collision and would also like to hear from anyone who saw the motorcycles travelling on the B3362 prior to the incident.
