BUDE C team entertained Bodmin for their final match before the Christmas break.

Club Chairman, Stuart Cameron, was making his final match appearance before moving to Oxford, so the team were anxious to give him a winning send off.

It was not a promising start with Stuart & Mike Barnard losing in 2 sets to the Bodmin pair. The Ladies, Margaret Barnard & Joan Coney also started shakily, losing the first set quickly, but went on to win the second set and also the third set tie break.

At the halfway point, Bodmin were ahead by 3 sets to 2.

In the mixed round, Stuart & Joan and husband and wife team Mike & Margaret, had very closely fought matches, both going to third set tie breaks, which the Bude pairs won.

The final score could not have been closer - Bude 6, Bodmin 5. So Stuart got his winning send off after all!
