OVER 200 people crammed into Camelford Hall to listen and air their opinion on a wind farm proposal which 'could dominate the view of Brown Willy' — the highest point in Cornwall — if approved by Cornwall Council.
The plans, for 16 wind turbines, each 130-metres high, sited on land at Davidstow Moor, has generated mixed feelings from across the area. This is the second time the renewable energy developer, Community Windpower, has submitted plans for a wind farm in the area.
Residents, councillors and interested parties filled the hall, with barely room left to stand, at the meeting on Wednesday, September 25, which had been arranged by Julie Dowton, Chairman of Davidstow Parish Council.
