Raymarine Young Sailor of the Year recognises young sailors who've made an impact on youth sailing, such as breaking a world record, securing a phenomenal win, overcoming adversity or showing exceptional bravery and courage.
Raymarine Young Sailor of the Year award was first presented in 1993. Early winners include Dame Ellen MacArthur and Ben Ainslie — who both went on to win the Yachtsman of the Year title. The winners of both awards are nominated by the public and elected by the votes of the Yachting Journalists' Association (YJA).
The London International Boat Show is at ExCel until Monday (January 19) celebrating 55 years of bringing the best of boating to the nation's capital.
Charlotte Hogg from Tavistock was a runner-up in the National Boat Shows' Design-A-Sail competition (Under-16s) at the London International Boat Show.
