HOMEMADE and handcrafted was the theme at a 'crafty day' in Crackington Haven.
Around 57 members of the Women's Institute gathered at the Crackington Haven Institute Hall on Friday, October 17 to take part in an arts and craft event.
The '4 Corner Day' of crafts was organised by June Smyth and members of the Marshgate Women's Institute.
Four different crafts were on offer and the participants selected two crafts to take part in. From willow weaving tutored by Eileen Harris where everyone was able to make a mini Christmas tree with woven strips of willow and decorate with leaves and berries.
Gill Hobbs was the tutor for decorative painting and this year the subject was a poppy in line with First World War commemorations.
Rosemary Slee, the tutor for Christmas baubles, travelled from Torpoint to demonstrate ideas for hand decorated baubles with Christmas in mind. A repeat visit was from Rebecca Kent who demonstrated fabric flowers, a poppy or hydrangea this year.
