CONCERNS that the number of beds at Holsworthy Hospital could be reduced by half were raised at a meeting on Monday.

The discussion was called by town councillor and Chairman of Holsworthy Hospital League of Friends, John Allen, following the leak of a document which contained information about the possible cuts at Holsworthy Hospital.

The plan was produced by the Northern Devon Healthcare Trust (NDHT).

The document talked about reducing the number of inpatient beds from 20 to 10 and 'redeploying existing staff to other suitable roles'.
