In the wake of COVID-19 soap opera fans were dealt a crushing blow when it was announced filming of the long running EastEnders and other top BBC dramas like Casualty, Doctors, and Holby City has been suspended. However, EastEnders fans will still be able to get their fix from episodes already filmed, as TV bosses announced just two episodes will air each week in an effort to make them last as long as possible.
