RE AFFORDABLE homes for locals to rent, with local connection, live in the parish now or in the past, parents live in the parish or have a job in the parish.
Our village has had these homes built with these restrictions but young people that have been born and brought up in the village have been told they do not have the right qualifications, ie a couple with two children were told that they would not get a three bedroom home because both children are under eight and could legally share a room.
So I ask this question to the local council who allocate these homes through homefinder. What is local? Five/ten/fifteen miles or more as now advertised in the local paper and on their housing site?
