THE recent St Teath Carnival was a great success — despite the weather being less than kind.
It didn't at all dampen the spirit of the crowds, who were very enthusiastic and generous with their donations to the carnival collectors — approximately £350 was raised which will go to local charities and causes.
A carnival committee spokesperson said: "A great big thank you to all the entrants who came to join in the fun, to Camelford Town Band and Drumba Samba Band for their wonderful music and, last but not least, to Pikna Shire Horses who stole the show pulling the St Teath Carnival Royalty carriage — the horses were so beautiful and well behaved.
"The carnival committee would also like to thank all the people behind the scenes who have helped with all the jobs during and prior to the carnival taking place, as we couldn't have done it without you!"
