EVERY Wednesday 15 children board Stratton Primary School's 'Walking Bus' and walk, talk and sing their way to and from school.

The Wednesday Walking Bus was set up a couple of months ago by the school's sustainable travel co-ordinator Becky Rowland, and it is proving more and more popular with both parents and children. Parent volunteers walk the children to and from school in a long 'bus' line. There is a parent driver at the front and conductor at the back, and one or two adults in the middle leading the singing!

"The Co-op Group very kindly donated 50 high-vis yellow jackets for our walking bus members to wear, so we are certainly very noticeable now!" said Becky.
