AN evening of poetry and music was held at Launceston Town Hall last Thursday, organised by the Charles Causley Trust.
Former poet in residence at Causley's home, Cyprus Well, Kathryn Simmonds, introduced the winners of the Charles Causley Poetry Competition, which she had judged.
The poets present read their own winning poems.
Kathryn and fellow poet in residence Alyson Hallett also gave readings from their own works and folk singer Jim Causley, a distant relative of the poet, performed some of the Causley poems set to music from his album Cyprus Well.
