Dave Lawton won the bottle of wine for nearest the pin on the 16th.

Lost 3-5 at Tehidy Park with seven of the eight matches going to the 17th. The Bowood winning pairs were: Alec Luckin & Paul Vickery, Eric Smallwood & Bill Trewin, and Dave Moore & Don Tanner. Captain Dick Eagle won the bottle of wine, a surprise as he was 40 feet from the hole.
Won 6-2 at home to Holsworthy, fortunate to have been played because of the thick fog. At Carlyon Bay quite a few a few of the games went to the 17th and 18th with the home side winning 5-3. Dick and John Green fought back from 3 down to 5 to play to square the match at the 17th but lost the 18th to a long putt from the home side's captain. The winning pairs were: Dave Lawton & Dave Alec Luckin, Richard Parsons & Paul Vickery and Ken Metcalfe & Don Tanner. Paul Vickery won the wine for nearest the pin on the 18th.
The first round of the summer Eclectic Trophy was played in quite windy conditions making scoring difficult: 1st, Don Teague 37pts; 2nd, Don Tanner 35pts; 3rd, Dick Eagle 34pts. Dick was the only player with a two winning nine golf balls.
The first round of the Harbinson Cup was played in excellent weather but the scores were not so good: 1st, Dick Eagle 91-18=73; 2nd, Richard Parsons 84-10=74; 3rd, John Harbinson 95-17=78. A welcome return to the golf course from Steve Steadman after his ankle problems over the last 12 months and Steve won six ball for the only two. Richard Parsons.
