IN RESPONSE to the letter in the paper dated February 19, 'Boyton's community has been fractured', from the Boyton Residents Action Group. Both myself and my wife are supporters of the application for the village inn, community hall, shop, plus free off road parking to be used for dropping off the school children. Also the hall will be of great use to the village.
In both our minds the negative attitude on this matter from the action group is very sad and if nothing is done the village will die. We need to strengthen the village not see it die.
Two affordable homes have been standing empty for some months, why? No shop for milk, bread, papers, any odd items we all run out of.
The younger generation is what is needed. With just one phone box and letter box, is that what the village calls entertainment? Not much to offer.
As we both have never been invited to the Boyton Residents Action Group meetings and have no idea who they are, this must be a non elected committee.
Boyton.
