TWO care homes at Launceston and North Hill have been criticised over the handling or management of medicines.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has demanded immediate improvements at both homes.

The CQC has issued a formal warning to Cornwall Care Limited that it must make urgent improvements to standards of care or face further action at Cedar Grange, Lanstephan, Launceston.

The warning follows an unannounced visit by inspectors to Cedar Grange in June and July to follow up a previous review of compliance.
