A WASSAIL evening was held at Cowslip, Launceston, where a good crowd enjoyed wassailing in the orchard, followed by a supper in the café.

Brabara Grigg and Michael O’Connor, who composed many of the songs featured in the Poldark series, provided the music and narration, while cider was poured and good fortunes wished upon the trees for a good apple crop.

The supper included many apple-orientated recipes.

Jo Colwill, of Cowslip, said: “We’re really grateful to Mike and Barbara for coming and I think everybody really enjoyed the evening.”
