SOULS Harbour Church in Camelford celebrates 30 years this month.

The church began in the St John Ambulance Hall and moved to the old Job Centre in Fore Street in 1991. In 2000, it bought the Bliss Pine Furniture building, which it has completely renovated, on the Clease. Pastor David Flanders was the founder of the church and remains its minister today.

Souls Harbour, a member of the Assemblies of God Pentecostal group of churches, has served the community by providing youth and children’s clubs from the beginning and a place of worship that is open to all. The congregation, which now numbers around 100, is drawn from all walks of life, age groups and several nationalities.

Pastor David said: “We exist simply to bring the good news of Jesus to our community and beyond. Jesus has changed our lives, bringing forgiveness, healing and wholeness, which we want to pass onto others.”
