TEN black bags full of rubbish were cleared from a Launceston park by volunteers taking part in Clean Cornwall Week. Cornwall Councillors, Liberal Democrats Jade Farrington, Alex Folkes and Adam Paynter organised the community litter pick following complaints from Launceston residents who were upset at the state in which a minority of users had left Coronation Park. Among those helping to tidy up the park in fine weather on Saturday was town mayor Cllr Dave Gordon. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
