GRAHAM Tucker, from Lewannick, has picked up a collection of rosettes at this year’s Launceston Agricultural Show.
On Thursday, July 28, Graham and his Kersbrook Flock entered the show, receiving numerous rosettes and a congratulatory visit from the president of the show, Sam Colwill.
Graham, who has approximately 20 sheep in his flock, entered the Devon and Cornwall Long wool class, and enjoyed a successful day at the show. He said: “It’s been a really good day, and I expect I’ll probably be coming back next year.”
Graham has been attending Launceston Show since the 1960’s, coming along each year with his father, and has carried on the tradition to this day.
Next year, he hopes for the same or even more success.
Other successful entrants at this years sheep show competition included John Osborne from Bude, pictured below, who won the title of supreme champion against fierce competition.
The president Sam Colwill was also on hand to present Sue Martyn from Boyton with the cup for first place in the Class 173 Two Teeth Ewe category.
Showing off the family flock was a young man from Bradworthy, who has achieved three rosettes and Breed Champion with his sheep at Launceston Agricultural Show.
Will Bromell from Bradworthy, near Holsworthy, received two 2nd and one 3rd rosettes, as well as achieving the title of Breed Champion on Thursday, July 28.
He was showing the family’s Bromflock sheep, owned by father Mark, mother Sue, Will and his younger sister Emily.
On his successful day of showing sheep his mother said: “He has done really well today, he has been back and forth all morning showing sheep and we are very proud of him.”
Will’s success at this year’s show is his second time, and hopes for even more success next year.
