UNDER blue sunny skies, around 45 tractors ranging from the 1930s to the present day got to work ploughing and cultivating at Trewen, Pipers Pool, on land made available by Paul and Simon Burden.

Around 300  spectators turned up to hear the sounds and see the sights of the vintage machines at work causing many to reminisce of times past when they worked these machines themselves.

Organiser Bob Ball said: "The drivers age range was also wide with one 15-year-old having gone to Duchy College to obtain his tractor proficiency certificates in order to legally participate in the event, he enjoyed himself so much he didn't want to stop for dinner,  there were also numerous drivers well in their 80s."

Some families attended the event with three tractors with grandfather, son and grandson all driving in the same field.
