THE almighty Christmas tree was hoisted into place in St Teath village square ahead of the Christmas market and lights switch on which takes place this Saturday (December 1).
The children's lantern parade and market takes place from 5pm and there will be various stalls selling decorations, wreaths, plants, crafts and gifts. Live music will be held from the choir and The Party People, also handbell ringers.
The lights switch on takes place at 6pm and there will be a visit from Father Christmas.
