VILLAGE shopkeepers Christine and Denis Lusby celebrated in style their 40th wedding anniversary and 21 years at St Breward Stores by entering the St Breward Church Flower Festival and throwing an Irish party at St Breward AFC, recently.
With Denis currently chairman of the parish council, a former editor of the village's parish magazine, as well as actively involved with the village carnival and the Camel Trail, and with Christine fronting their 'open all hours' stores and providing support for many village events behind the scenes, there probably have not been many quiet moments for either since moving to the village — even less so possibly since the arrival of their six grandchildren.
Their flower entry at the festival showed their journey through life to St Breward and had the county colours of Derry, Middlesex, Worcestershire and Cornwall along a winding road, complete with pothole.
