DESPITE less than perfect weather, the St Teath village fete was held on May 2.
The event was well supported and everyone who came along enjoyed the afternoon and managed to raise £400 towards this year's carnival funds.
A cocktail and cider evening was also held on the village green, which proved to be a great success, and there were a few sore heads in St Teath the following morning!
During the fete, this year's chosen fairy queens, Maizie and Tilly Brown, were crowned by Lorraine Jasper.
Plans are well underway for this year's grand carnival procession, which will be held on Saturday, July 25, starting at 7pm from the village playing fields.
At the start of carnival week, on July 19, a big breakfast will be held on the village green. There will also be many other events planned throughout the week, including It's a Knockout with music by Josh Curnow, starting on the village green at 7pm.
