St Breward was, at one stage, cut off as all exits from the village were flooded by rivers breaching their banks.
Wenford Bridge was worst hit with water entering the cottage alongside the River Camel, then blocked culverts pouring water across their front door.
Photographer Peter Glaser told the 'Post' he came across a number of drivers who were struggling to find a route out of the village.
One resident, Tracey Leach, woke up to the sounds of "a river flowing down the road" at 6am and found water had begun to flood into her home, through the front door.
