COADS Green has become awash with knitted poppies as the village prepare to mark the 100th anniversary of Armistice.
Villagers, along with their friends and families from further afield, have been busy knitting hundreds of poppies over the past few months and they have started popping up around Coads Green ahead of their celebrations on Sunday, October 28.
An afternoon tea will be served from 4.30pm before a concert at 6pm where readings and poems of remembrance will be interspersed between musical performances from Shelley Coulter-Smith, Youthful Spirit and pupils of Coads Green Primary School.
