The Launcells Horticultural Show was held at Launcells Parish Hall, Grimscott on Saturday, August 17.

A show spokesperson said: “After a couple of wet and windy weeks, it was lovely to see such a vibrant selection of flowers and vegetables at our show this year.  

There was also a wonderful display of cakes and preserves along with handicrafts and photography and some imaginative flower arranging.    

“It was also encouraging to see so many new exhibitors, especially in the children’s classes, and we hope they enjoyed the day and will show again next year and in the future.  

“Thanks go to everyone who helped either before, during or after the show and to all those who came along in the afternoon to see what our parish can produce. Without the efforts of all the organisers, judges, and contributors we would not have such a wonderful show.”
