THREE members of Camelford Town Council have been successfully vetted to perform a community speed watch programme in Camelford.

Cllrs Kirsty Ferguson and Shirley Goodman and John Gilbert, the town council’s ground maintenance manager, have recently been vetted to carry out Camelford Community Speed Watch.

Once their identification cards have arrived, the trio will be on the streets, making themselves known and reporting anyone exceeding the speed limit.

Areas at both ends of the town will be prioritised, as motorists tend to exceed the 30mph speed limit there. To join the team, contact Cllr Ferguson, speed watch coordinator, on 01840 212015, or leave a message at the town council office on 01840 212880.
