DOG and traffic units seized a vehicle, from the Holsworthy area, displaying false number plates on Saturday, July 2.
The car was located at approximately 11am using dog and traffic units from Barnstaple.
Members of the community brought this vehicle to the attention of local PCSOs, and without this information this particular vehicle may not have been noticed.
Police are still currently seeking the owner of the vehicle, and the Holsworthy Police team has said that if anyone has any information about this incident then they should get in touch.
Holsworthy’s PFCSO Mark James said: “As is well demonstrated in this case, we rely on the wider community for a lot of the intelligence we gather, and we would like to encourage people to contact us if they see or hear anything they deem to be suspicious.
“It may sometimes seem unimportant on it’s own, but often helps to paint a wider picture when added to other information we have.”
The public can contact the Holsworthy Neighbourhood Police Team with any information they may have relating to a crime or suspicious activity by reporting it directly to a member of the team or messaging them via their Facebook page.
Alternatively the public can use the 101 non-emergency line or email [email protected]
