Dear Editor,
Many readers will be well aware that this week is Christian Aid week during which thousands of good hearted people make donations, both large and small, to this major charity.
The numerous donations made over the past thirty or so years have combined to supprt so many people, organisations and projects throughout the world and continue to do so.
In an effort to promote Christian Aid locally, various opportunities are pursued, including posters and banners, and it was on Thursday morning of last week that two banners were carefully erected on Perterstow Common using five substantial new posts.
Removing the posts would have taken considerable effort, yet by early morning on the following day, the entire display had vanished.
The totally uncaring and selfish person or persons who committed this theft presumably think that all those in severe need throughout the world should continue to suffer without the support of those who believe the opposite to be only human.
