LAUNCESTON looks set to have its own Foodbank in the near future.
A meeting was held in the Central Methodist Hall on Monday, August 8 to introduce the concept of a Foodbank to interested parties and the gauge the support for such a venture, as reported in the 'Post' last week.
The hall was packed and a large number of churches in the Launceston area were represented.
Keith Roberts welcomed everyone and explained the concept of a Foodbank through an informative DVD.
Please see this week's edition of the 'Post' for a round up of the area news and sport.
